Mostafa Darwish Fawaz – University of Limerick

In the beginning of the Covid-19 pandemic, Irish government has called the people to social distance and to not be gathered in one place while there are asylum seekers being housed 7 persons in one room and they sharing dining rooms and community rooms in their direct provision centers.

A few days later, the national TV has done a similar story with a similar angle then the Irish Times did the same and all of that coverage started by mine forced the government to move the residents in the center where 7 persons living in one room to another centers.
