AFRICA: Higher learning in prisons stutters in the time of COVID-19

Synopsis:

The learning activities of students in African prisons have been seriously disrupted this year as correctional facilities were forced to adjust to COVID-19. Prospective students have not been able to apply to universities and unavailable and inaccessible educational resources have derailed the education of offenders. The article present the challenges facing university students in African prisons and provides expert’s views about ways to deal with these challenges.
