Please submit a photograph or a series of up to 12 photographs as a portfolio PLUS a PDF of or link to how it was originally published.

Once you have entered, you will be emailed a copy of your submission. This email will include your Unique Entry Number and the link to our viewing platform. You will need to include your Unique Entry Number when naming the file you wish to upload so that we can identify your entry.

Please Note: your file must be no larger than 500 MB. We do not require high res or HD files at this stage.

Please provide below the URL (and any necessary passwords) to your entry or a 3rd streaming platform such as Vimeo or YouTube. Please provide us with alternative access if:

  • the URL is not available without subscription (ie: provide guest log-in)
  • the URL won’t be available in March 2022
  • the URL is not available overseas
  • the URL is to a changing page

Entry Details

Please provide an entry synopsis. This should include a physical description (eg: photo feature in The Guardian) and names of key contributors such as presenters or reporters, if relevant. (max 300 words).

Please describe the impact of the piece and how it contributed to human rights change. For example, did it influence government policy or a change in law? Did it reach a wide and varied audience? Refer to the Entry Criteria for a full list of how we measure impact. Please provide evidence where possible (eg: links to news stories, viewing figures, etc). (max 200 words).

Please provide details of any financial / in-kind support you may have received in the production of your entries, excluding support from the media outlet(s) from which they were broadcast or published (please note all information disclosed will be treated as confidential).
Media Awards entries may be used or reproduced by Amnesty International to promote the Amnesty International Media Awards. This includes being used in the Amnesty magazine and promotional materials for the awards, on the Amnesty International UK website and social media accounts, at the Amnesty Media Awards ceremony and other Amnesty events, and in other Amnesty communications.
